Jeffrey S. Klarman, President

Jeff Klarman is the president of W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. He has been a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer since 1982, and has been working at the funeral home since 1976. Jeff is a graduate of Branford High School, Class of 1979, and New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in 1981, and has been with the funeral home on a full time basis since then. He is married to Alexandria "Lexie" Klarman, and they have three children: Andrew, Kimberly and Erica.

He has been active in the community with the Knights of Columbus, Eldorado Council 10, the Branford Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Branford and he has coached many youth sports teams. Professionally he is a member of the Greater New Haven Funeral Directors Association, the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (where he served as President in 1993), the National Funeral Directors Association, and the International Order of the Golden Rule.

John P. Klarman, Vice-President

John Klarman is the vice-president of W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. He has been a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer since 1989, and has been working at the funeral home since 1984. A graduate of Branford High School, Class of 1986, and New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in 1988, he has been with the funeral home full time since then. He is married to Leslie Klarman and they have a daughter Molly and granddaughter, Sadie. John is a member of the Greater New Haven Funeral Directors Association, the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association and the Order of the Golden Rule.

Kristine Klarman Administrative Assistant

Kristine Klarman - She is the sister to Jeff and John.  She has worked at the funeral home in an administrative capacity since 2007.  Kris is active with Feed Branford Kids, the Community Dining Room, the Branford Festival Committee and is a long time catechist at St. John Bosco Parish.  Kris is an avid runner, has completed several marathons and is a partner on the Connecticut Special Olympics Unified Running Team. She lives in Branford with her dog, Clancy.

Alexandria "Lexie" Klarman Office Assistant

Alexandria "Lexie" Klarman - Lexie is the wife of Jeff and the mother of Andrew, Kimberly and Erica.  Lexie values her administrative position as a way to comfort, assist  and support grieving families.  Lexie currently serves on the board of the Branford Counseling and Social Services Center, as well as serves as the recording secretary for the Branford Historical Society.  Lexie is also on the Branford Festival Committee and is involved in yearly youth mission trips.  Lexie is a past facilitator for HOPE (Helping Other Parents Endure) – a group providing support for families experiencing the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or in early infancy.

Clancy

Clancy belongs to Kristine and is our resident GoldenDoodle.  He came on board in the Spring of 2017 at three months old.  He currently works three afternoons per week and is working to become a certified therapy dog.  When he isn't working, Clancy spends time at doggie daycare.  He loves taking his mom on walks, playing in the yard and getting belly rubs!
